The Knox-Lincoln County Beekeepers will host a special public presentation titled “Permaculture for Beekeepers” on Saturday, May 9 at 10:30 a.m. at the Skidompha Library in downtown Damariscotta. Master Beekeeper and permaculture designer Erin Evans of Overland Honey and will explore how thoughtful plantings can support honeybees and other pollinators throughout the year. The program will also include timely insights into spring honeybee swarming behavior, offering practical context for both new and experienced beekeepers as the active season begins. Erin Evans is an EAS-certified Master Beekeeper and permaculture designer based in Portland, Maine, where she operates Overland Apiaries, a small-scale beekeeping farm focused on sustainable, chemical-free practices and education.
